I had to replace it as is used to rise up and sit on top of my head as it filled up with air at high speed.. If the Pink motor cycle helmet gives you a headache, it's probably too small.. Cruisers are good bikes for new riders.. Cruisers are good bikes for new riders.. No but seriously, I go with those who say give it a bit of a knead with your thumbs around where it has pressure points on your head.. It has cooling vents which actually work, and the tinted moveable sunvisor is excellent, as is the anti-fogging strip.. I personally prefer sport bikes and would not personally consider a cruiser but I appreciate Harleys and all bikes for that matter on their merits.. Also get a throttle control and a comfortable set of heated grips and a vest.. The Sportster is a good bike though.. If there are particular pressure spots, you could take a close look at the liner.. Cruisers are good bikes for new riders.. They do sound good with a deep throaty exhaust but as far as I'm concerned that's all they have going for them.. Longer rides can be a bit hard on the butt but frequent stops for coffee and a walk around helps.. If it feels the slightest bit tight it is too small. Only if it moves around on your head is it too big..

here are much better motorcycles available for much less money.. Removing this pad had no effect on safety, but much improved my comfort.. The Nolan is a good snug fit, good protection, easy on and off, and the flip is very easy to raise.. here are much better motorcycles available for much less money.. And if I were you I'd try and buy an Triumph America as opposed to the XL.. A Sportster is a good bike for a novice rider.. Have a bicycle water bottle for quick sips,wind can dry you out..
